I wasn't very impressed with my stay at the City Hotel in Matsuyama. While the location was great, just a five-minute walk from the train station and close to beautiful parks, I found the overall experience disappointing. The room had a bad smell and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I won't be returning or recommending it to others.

My stay at Matsuyama City Hotel was disappointing overall. While the location was fantastic, just a short walk from the train station and close to lovely parks, I found the room to be underwhelming due to cleanliness issues and a bad odor. The service from staff was acceptable, but not as attentive as I've experienced elsewhere in Japan. Given the high price, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for future visits.

My stay at the City Hotel in Matsuyama was disappointing overall. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station and near the beautiful castle and moat area. However, my experience was marred by cleanliness issues and a high price point for the quality provided. Unfortunately, the room had an unpleasant smell and I encountered a significant cleanliness problem in the hallway during my stay, which was unacceptable.

While the location of the City Hotel in Matsuyama offered easy access to the nearby train station and castle parklands, my overall experience was disappointing. The room had a persistent bad smell and cleanliness issues overshadowed what could have been a nice stay. Given the high price and my unfortunate encounter with vomit in the hallway, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The room, though spacious and offering Japanese-style futon bedding, had an unpleasant odor and cleanliness issues that I found hard to ignore.
